EDUCATION
As far as the education component of the committee, members should assist the board in the planning and execution of the principal member only workshops (before the April/May and October general membership luncheons) to add value for our principal members and drive attendance to the monthly luncheon.
In the future, a task force should be developed by this committee to oversee and coordinate classes that help members gain their Real Property Administrator, Facilities Maintenance Administrator, and System Maintenance Administrator certifications and designations. The Education Committee would develop continuing education seminars each year relevant to the commercial property professional for which clock hours are earned. The Education Committee would also promote Building Engineer skills training, markets education classes and seminars, and promote sustainability and energy efficiency education.
