Geoff will share an election update and its impacts on BOMA Idaho members and commercial real estate.

Bio:
Geoffrey Wardle grew up attending public hearings with his father, a planner and land use consultant, from the age of five. Therefore, it surprised no one that he specialized in land use entitlements after graduating from law school.
Having served as land use counsel to a resort community, Geoff has developed significant expertise in evaluating development and entitlement applications from both the applicant and municipal perspective; a keen understanding for process; and most importantly the ability to manage entitlement projects through their entire life cycle from application through approval and even on to litigation.
He regularly appears before municipal design review committees, planning and zoning commissions, and city councils advancing the interests of both institutional and private clients. He is a past regional and local BOMA president and currently serves as Vice President of State Government Affairs for BOMA International. Geoff was identified and recognized every year from 2005 – 2013 by Chambers and Partners as one of Idaho’s leading land use attorneys.

Mass Timber Trends in Design, Engineering, and Construction Speakers:
William Silva, Regional Director of Preconstruction, Swinerton
William Silva is a seasoned construction veteran who manages all aspects of design and preconstruction management for Swinerton Builders in the Pacific Northwest. A graduate of Oregon State University with a B.S. in Construction Management, William has over 30 years of well-rounded experience throughout the West Coast and Inland Northwest markets, having worked both in project development and self-perform heavy civil, concrete, and mass timber operations. William joined Swinerton in 2004 and returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2014. He is a passionate advocate for mass timber buildings with a knack for finding efficient and eloquent solutions to project challenges, having applied those skills to successfully deliver numerous projects.Jason Tornquist, PE, SE, Senior Vice President , WSP USA
Jason Tornquist, PE, SE, is Senior Vice President at WSP USA. With close to 20 years of experience in structural engineering, Jason has become a leader in mass timber engineering and design. He has worked on a variety of mass timber projects.

Natalie Lemas Hernandez is a passionate entrepreneur.
She is the CEO and owner of Commercial Northwest Property Management. CNW is one of the largest multi-family management companies in Idaho.
Commercial Northwest manages over $500 million dollars in assets and 3,000 apartment doors throughout the state of Idaho. Natalie is an experienced commercial real estate agent specializing in investment assets. Throughout her career she has closed over $100 million dollars in commercial transactions on behalf of her clients. She and her husband, Hugo are alsoreal estate investors and have a portfolio of commercial assets ranging from multifamily, land, retail and office investments.
To give back to her community, Natalie founded TIPPS, a non-profit organization that hosts an all-expenses paid annual retreat designed to facilitate personal growth. Over 1,000+ people have attended the retreats Natalie has written and produced.
Natalie has been honored as one of the Top 40 Under 40 business leaders in Idaho. She was also recognized as an Idaho Woman of the Year. She is the past president of CREW; Commercial Real Estate Women and is an active member of EO; Entrepreneur's Organization.
Her hobbies include speaking, podcasting and teaching others how to grow their wealth. She is the host of the Beyond Rich podcast and loves connecting with others on social media.
Natalie’s greatest accomplishment is her marriage to the love of her life; Hugo and being a mama to Valentino (5) and Marcelo (1.5).

Presentation on the ESI Building for Construction Management by Lombard/Conrad Architects and ESI
The new building on campus will replace the existing outdated CM lab, and will include a student collaboration area, a 45-seat computer lab with construction technology, classroom space, a communal break room, and open-air access to an outside learning area. The lab will also have a high bay structure, which will allow for an overhead crane, a separate area for equipment and hazardous material storage, and a new roof and exterior skin, making it a standout architectural piece on campus.
