Spreading Holiday Cheer at the BOMA Idaho Annual Community Gift Giving Event
BOMA Idaho kicked off the holiday season today with our annual general membership luncheon and community gift-giving event. The room overflowed with generosity and cheer as members mingled over a delicious meal. This year, our members stepped up and showed what the holiday spirit is all about. The main event was collecting toys for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County. Our goal was to gather gifts for 140 children, and thanks to the incredible donations from our members, we met and exceeded that goal. From Barbies and race cars to puzzles and board games, our collection grew into a mountain of wrapped presents ready to inspire smiles on Christmas morning.
The luncheon was made even more festive by a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus themselves! Thanks to our friends and tremendous BOMA Idaho supporters at ISG, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived decked distributing BOMA Idaho socks to spread some additional holiday cheer. They posed for photos and were happy to highlight the socks, a creative gift that shows the spirit of partnership and community that thrives amongst BOMA Idaho and our partners. It was a delightful surprise that put smiles on everyone's faces and reflected the camaraderie and joy that brings our organization together.
In addition to the toy drive, our members generously supported two other local organizations - the Interfaith Sanctuary and the Idaho Humane Society. We collected practical items like toiletries and blankets for Interfaith Sanctuary as they provide crucial services to our community. Volunteers from the Idaho Humane Society wrapped presents and gathered tips to purchase food and supplies for the animals. As we surveyed the huge haul of donations, our hearts swelled with BOMA pride. While the luncheon brings us together every year for networking and celebration, it’s the spirit of giving back that defines our organization. We strive not only to connect commercial real estate professionals but also to lift and improve our community. Judging by the mountains of gifts and overflowing donation bins, our members believe in spreading cheer to our neighbors. This annual event always reinforces that BOMA Idaho is committed to giving.
